There were some nuances in poetry or in storytelling that my colleague and I then felt were missing in the Open Mic Community. Our goal then was to create a safe space for people to tell their stories or poetry without facing scepticism about the authenticity of their experiences. It's worth noting that the Open Mic scene has since evolved significantly.

Yes, yoga does relax me, going on walks and reading a good book relaxes me. Nothing beats just being in the moment, relishing in the fact that you are alive via these activities. These activities slowly increased my joy factor. 

Regardless, of what people may think, I have heard countless of opinions of how easy I have had it. It usually makes me shake my head and shrug
